Hello everyone,

It’s good to be back after a long blogging hiatus.

2020 has been a year more like a crazy decade. A lot has happened this year, from the Covid 19 pandemic to the #EndSars Movement to the killing of protesters at Lekki toll gate in Nigeria. I took some time off blogging to rest mentally as mental health matters too.

I am proud of every Nigerian youth and everyone who lent their voices and contributed to the movement as we came together in one voice asking for the #ENDSARS.

I am super excited as I have great stuff lined up as we get to the end of 2020.

Here’s what’s new;

1| Unpacking Feminism

I am kick-starting a new blog series titled Unpacking Feminism.

The Unpacking Feminism series is about sharing my journey of understanding feminism and finding my feminist identity. I will also be painting a clearer picture of what feminism is about, addressing the misconceptions and stereotypes around feminism while spotlighting African Feminist, history, theories on feminism, and the Charter of Feminist Principles for African Feminists.

I was inspired to start this series after attending the Margaret Ekpo Youth Fellowship (MEYF) retreat and Aunty Bukky Shoniebare session on Unpacking Feminism. I was selected to be among 20 amazing young feminists for the Margaret Ekpo Youth Fellowship (MEYF) Program 2020 organized by YouthHub Africa and the Ford Foundation. The Fellowship is aimed at working with young emerging feminists in Nigeria and building capacity for meaningful engagement against gender inequality in Nigeria.

I can’t wait to share my journey and experience with you all.

If you what to get a deeper understanding of what Feminism is about this series is 100% for you.
