The School of Ecology is a space for the interrogation of concepts, policies, and actions related to various issues, ranging from development, environmental/climate justice, agriculture, re-source governance, and overall ecological degradation.
The school challenges mindsets and points at alternatives aimed at building eti-uwem (wellbeing) without harming our planet, other species, and peoples. This school is an arena for socio-ecological transformation.
This session will include our flagship Right Livelihood Lecture and will hold in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in the week of May 18 – 22, 2020; it will interrogate Power Alternatives in the context of Climate Change and inspire communities to see themselves as climate actors to resist unsustainable energy alternatives while demanding an end to fossil fuels exploration, exploitation and accompanying degradation of the environment.
